First Accumulating Snowfall of Season Expected Tomorrow

The National Weather Service reports that accumulating snow is possible in the Tri-State area from midday Thursday, November 15 through late Thursday night before precipitation gradually transitions to all rain. A period of freezing rain is likely Thursday night across the interior.

NWS predicts the greatest potential for accumulating snow is across NYC, northeast New Jersey, the Lower Hudson Valley, and southern Connecticut.

  • Snowfall amounts of 1 to 5 inches are possible, with the highest amounts north of NYC.

  • Travel may become hazardous due to poor visibility and slippery roads, especially during the Thursday evening commute.
