A Winter Storm Warning has been issued for Connecticut and parts of Westchester

The National Weather Service is predicting rain/snow mix beginning Sunday afternoon, March 3, from west to east changing to all snow by early evening. There is a potential for 4 to 8 inches by daybreak Monday, March 4.

Hazards

 5-8 ” across the Lower Hudson Valley, Southern CT, NE Jersey, and New York City

 4-6 “ across Long Island

 Snowfall rates up to 1-2”/hr

 Visibility ½ mile or less at times

Impacts

 Isolated to scattered power outages and downed tree limbs possible due to heavy wet snow

 Difficult travel due to snow-covered roadways

Timing

 Heaviest snow from 9 PM to 4 AM
