If you traveled down Main Street last week, you probably noticed increased traffic due to construction at the CVS-Prospect intersection. This is part of a longterm project that will improve the safety and traffic flow at CVS-Prospect Street intersection reconfiguring the road into CVS so it aligns with Prospect Street. The work is expected to take a few days.
“They [Eversource's contractor, Stone Construction] will be digging [Eversource] test pits to verify elevations of various underground utilities so when actual construction begins the contractor will have all the necessary information,” explains First Selectman Rudy Marconi.
And, the bulk of the project? Marconi says, “The plan is to start March/April of 2021 and be completed by the end of fall 2021.”
