Hundreds Head to Downtown Ridgefield for 2019 Halloween Walk

Downtown Ridgefield was HOPPING this morning - Halloween style! The weather could not have been more perfect for witches, ghosts, goblins, and even Audrey II to stroll beautiful Main Street in search of treats.

The Toy Chest served as the official Halloween Walk starting point and, as you can see from the photo, the line was long with Halloween loving families!

Thanks to Ridgefield Police for keeping our sidewalks safe (and for closing Main Street) during today's awesome community event and thanks to the many merchants who stood outside (most in costume) handing out thousands of pieces of candy to excited children.

This is just the warm-up event for Halloween, on October 31 when the Town of Ridgefield is transformed into a costumed wonderland of candy and treats! The Ridgefield Police Department will host their annual Trunk or Treat at the Lounsbury House from 5 to 9 pm, so while you are strolling down Main Street in your Halloween finest, stop into the Lounsbury House for this free and fun party.

The Halloween Walk is made possible by the downtown merchants organization and the Holiday Trust Fund.
