Winter Weather Advisory for Southern CT, Two Inches of Snow Expected

Winter Weather Advisory will go into effect at 3am Wednesday for all of southern Connecticut, New York City, Long Island, Westchester County, Eastern Bergen, Eastern Union, Eastern Essex, and Hudson County.
Total snowfall accumulations around 2 inches are forecast in the advisory area. Some locations in interior southern Connecticut could see up to 3 inches.
Hazardous conditions will impact the Wednesday morning commute due to a combination of slippery road conditions and reduced visibilities. Impacts may still occur outside the advisory area, but the duration of the snow is expected to be less. Snowfall amounts are also lower.

A reasonable worst case scenario of 4 inches is possible north and east of NYC if heavier snow were to occur at these locations. A reasonable worst case scenario of 3 inches is possible across the remainder of the region.
