Give yourself a gift during this stressful time - explore Ridgefield's open spaces and walking/hiking trails

Here, members of Ridgefield's awesome Conservation Commission take you through a walk through the woods and trails - virtually!

Outdoor treasures include:

Old Sib Open Space

Florida Refuge

Bennetts Pond

Pine Mountain Orange Trail

Great POnd

Lake View Drive open space

Lake Windwing

Mar-Joy Pond/Casey Lane

The outdoor tour kicks off with Commissioner (and ACT of CT Artistic Director) Dan Levine.

While it is imperative that everyone follows the Town’s recommendations on public gatherings and distancing from others, being outside (at a safe distance from others) can help alleviate the stress that we are all feeling. Ridgefield’s Conservation Commission would like to remind you that our town has over 5800 acres of open space and trails. Some trails are very family-friendly, while others more challenging. Many are rarely used or hiked by the public.

It is easy to distance yourself from others on the majority of these open spaces, but please be mindful of others when hiking."
