Ridgefield CERT Volunteers Clock Over 1,200 Hours Helping in Ridgefield's Response to COVID-19

Since the beginning of the Coronavirus response, and as of March 28, 2 dozen+ Ridgefield CERT volunteers have contributed over 1,200 volunteer hours helping our Town's response.

We have volunteers from the Public Information Office (PIO) team working on messaging from town and state leadership, our Virtual Operations Support Team (VOST) handling social media, and the WebEOC interface to the State of CT.  Additionally, some of our CERTs are working with the Department of Emergency Management and Homeland Security (DEMHS) and the National Guard to help with our regional and statewide responses.

Our volunteer team activations are increasing every week as our resource needs increase, so please thank our CERTs for their continued dedication to Ridgefield.
