Happy 4th of July, Ridgefield!

Ridgefield, Connecticut on the 4th of July, 2020.

The birth of our country is traditionally a grand celebration filled with family, friends, BBQs, and community fireworks.

feels quite different this year as we begin to pick our heads up and see the light after a pandemic that rocked our world.

While we will not join together for fireworks at Ridgefield High School, and large patriotic gatherings can't take place, the Keeler Tavern Museum and History Center (KTMHC) has worked hard to give our community a wonderful 4th of July gift that includes their historical reading of the Declaration of Independence and the ceremonial cutting of a watermelon!

Thank you to the KTMHC and the many people who worked hard to put together a patriotic celebration that can be enjoyed in the comfort of our homes and backyards.

Tune in and watch KTMHC Watermelon Fest HERE beginning at 11:00 am.

Happy 4th of July, Ridgefield! We have battled this virus together and we are here for you, always.
