This evening, Ridgefield First Selectman Rudy Marconi sent community members an Everbridge message urging residents to take Tropical Storm Isaias very seriously as it moves into our area Tuesday afternoon and evening with damaging high winds and heavy rains.
The most recent update from Ridgefield OEM reports the storm is moving a bit faster than originally indicated. According to the National Weather Service, Isaias is a 70 mph Tropical Storm approaching Carolina coast. Isaias will only slowly weaken as it accelerates and curves northeast over the Carolinas tonight and then over our area late Tuesday afternoon.
