Dear Editor:
Ridgefield’s Chamber of Commerce is solidly behind the Town’s “Support Local” initiative together with the Economic & Community Development Commission and with the support of the Board of Selectmen.
As a community, the investment we make in our local businesses is an investment in Ridgefield and our quality of life. Local shops and restaurants face both the effects of COVID and online shopping, and the fate of the much-beloved quaint ambiance that Ridgefield is renowned for hangs in the balance.
We encourage residents to shop, dine and support local. This includes support for our non-profit community too. Most local businesses are offering pick-up and/or delivery, private shopping by appointment and great service and quality. From flowers to books, fresh produce to educational toys, and with our restaurants, office and building services, real estate brokerage, arts and entertainment, and legal and banking, we are fortunate to represent local businesses that offer it all. Please support our merchants and service providers to help ensure the future of our vibrant, beautiful town. After all, there is only one Ridgefield, and it’s worth preserving.
As part of our “Support Local” initiative, we are offering access to certain Chamber benefits to non-Chamber members as so many local businesses are struggling: these include free access to our healthcare network plans and Digital Marketing audits and help at a nominal fee. We will be launching Fall Seminars and business preparedness sessions open to all at no cost.
Thank you for continuing to support our wonderful town.
