Member of ERMS community tests positive for COVID, 34 students and 8 teachers required to quarantine until November 3

Aaron Crook, Ridgefield Public Schools COVID-19 Health and Safety Compliance Liaison, just announced that late this afternoon the District learned that a member of the East Ridge Middle School (ERMS) community tested positive for COVID-19. This individual was in the ERMS building and considered to have been potentially infectious on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

"We have consulted with Dr. James Ahern and Mr. Ed Briggs Town of Ridgefield Health Department Director and have begun the process of contact tracing. We will be making calls to 34 students and 8 teachers who will be required to quarantine until November 3rd and may return to in person learning on November 4th," said Crook.
