SPHERE Members Create Face Mask and Eye Glass Chains, Sell at Audrey Road and on Instagram

SPHERE members were active at home during the quarantine creating art, limited jewelry and decorating bags for Meals on Wheels.

Soon after the pandemic hit, SPHERE's talented makers got busy solving a mask-wearing problem. They began creating a piece of jewelry that could artfully keep face coverings clean, close, and convenient.

"The jewelry item was limited to eyeglass lanyards and soon enough, it became apparent that the beautiful eyeglass lanyards could double as face-covering lanyards," explains SPHERE volunteer, Wendy Lionetti. "Now that SPHERE Jewelry-making class is back in session, our artists are making mask lanyards regularly and the one-of-a-kind pieces are fun, functional, and affordable," adds Lionetti.

Beaded lanyards are $10 each and paracord lanyards (good for kids) are $5.  They can be purchased at Audrey Road (7 Bailey Ave) and through SPHERE’s Instagram (@sphere_ct).
