Gingerbread Replica of The Aldrich at Home for the Holidays Fundraiser for Lounsbury House

Gingerbread Home for the Holidays, a festive fundraiser for Lounsbury House with the Ridgefield Guild of Artists

The creative (and sweet) holiday gingerbread houses, replicas of some of Ridgefield's historic buildings, have found their rightful place at the Historic Lounsbury House (today was entry deadline) where they await your visit!

The artistry of locals is something to marvel at. Earlier today, we shared Sarah Bouissou's handiwork, the Ridgefield Playhouse. And now, we unveil another Ridgefield landmark, The Aldrich, created by Caitlin Monachino, the Museum’s Curatorial Assistant and Publications Manager. If you are familiar with the current exhibits, you will notice that her replica also features recreations of some of Frank Stella’s outdoor sculptures (fittingly festive, stars!)

With the help of generous sponsors, Karla Murtaugh Homes and Casey Energy, amazing gingerbread creations will be on window display at Lounsbury House November 27 – December 20. Don’t miss your opportunity to view and vote for your favorite while supporting this magnificent Ridgefield landmark!

Online voting begins Friday, November 27.

A donation of $25 per vote is required and you may vote as many times as you would like in support of your favorite gingerbread creation.

All proceeds benefit Lounsbury House community programming and historic preservation efforts.
