No Memorial Day Parade or 4th of July Fireworks in Ridgefield this Year

We have confirmed with First Selectman Rudy Marconi that Ridgefield will go without a Memorial Day parade for the second consecutive year due to ongoing health concerns.

"The American Legion and Town agree that it would still be too early for a gathering of that size," Marconi noted.

He also said that Ridgefield's 4th of July fireworks display will not take place this year.

We have reached out to George Besse Commander, Everett Ray Seymour Post 78 to confirm that, as they did in 2020, the American Legion will pay tribute to veterans this Memorial Day by decorating their graves with a flag. Stay tuned for details.
