ACT of CT Summer Performance Camp for Kids who Love Theater and Love to CREATE!

ACT of Connecticut is calling all campers!

The ACT of CT Summer Performance Camp will bring a cast of campers from 2nd to 5th grade together for two weeks to rehearse and perform a brand-new original musical called Timberland.

Keeping in line with ACT of CT’s “Into The Woods” theme from this season, Timberland is a fun-filled children’s musical where three kids are summoned to a distant planet (called Timberland) in order to reverse a terrible curse and save Timberland's majestic forest.  ACT of CT’s Artistic Director, Daniel C. Levine has written this exciting and clever new musical specifically for ACT of CT's Summer Performance Camp campers!

Campers will learn basic musical theatre skills including beginning vocal technique, choreography, and improvisation. Additional theater activities and workshops will be incorporated into the camp schedule, including theater games and special guests.

ACT of CT’s 2021 Summer Performance Camp will be held both inside and out of doors on the ACT of CT campus. Each camper will be designated to a tent for eating, theater games and other outdoor activities related to the performance.

We anticipate that the final performance will be on the ACT of CT stage pending final approvals from state and local authorities.

As with our Summer 2020 programming, ACT of CT will be closely monitoring health conditions surrounding COVID-19 and commits to implementing all recommended and necessary health and safety protocols.  More information to come in the months preceding Camp.

Camp Hours: M-F, 9am-3pm* / Performance: Saturday, August 7 at 2pm*

(Each camper will receive two complimentary tickets; additional tickets will be available for purchase)

*Please note that all campers are expected to attend camp every day. We are unable to accommodate conflicts, as one camper's absence affects the entire cast and final performance.  Thank you for your understanding.

This is an open enrollment program and registration is now open. (Auditions will be held on the first day of camp for casting purposes.) Please note that space is limited. Please email " href="https://mailto:education@actofct.org" data-type="mail" style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px; border: 0px; outline: 0px; vertical-align: baseline; background: 0px 0px; cursor: pointer; text-decoration-line: none;">education@actofct.org to enroll.
