Domestic Travel for Vaccinated Residents

The good news about domestic travel: fully vaccinated travelers have less stringent guidelines than those who have not been vaccinated.

Connecticut reports that fully vaccinated travelers with an FDA-authorized vaccine):

• Are less likely to get and spread COVID-19
• Do not need to get tested before or after travel unless their destination requires it
• Should continue to follow CDC recommendations for safe travel including wearing a mask, staying six feet from others, avoid crowds and wash your hands often.

Travelers who are not vaccinated should follow CT and CDC guidelines which require quarantining and/or testing upon return to Connecticut. These recommendations are not made to restrict you, but to keep you and your community safe: Review CDC guidance for post-travel quarantine and testing.

Travelers should review CDC's travel guidance when planning travel outside of their local community. Know your travel risk. Do not travel if you are sick, are considered infectious after testing positive for COVID-19, or should be quarantining after exposure to a person with COVID-19. (From: ct.gov website).
