The Prospector's Mission Bling Symbolizes HOPE for the Comeback of the Movie Industry

In honor of tonight’s 93rd Academy Awards, the Prospector Theater is introducing “Mission Bling”!

These sparkly pins are handmade by Prospects with recycled movie posters, tulle, sparkle, and a penny. We made these bling pins, with hope in our hearts, for the comeback of the movie industry.

Prospects will be wearing these symbolic Mission Bling pins on our black vests when we reopen. The movie posters represent our love of movies. The sparkle represents Prospects' talents and the dazzle in the eyes of the moviegoers who want movies to come back. The penny is "heads up" and represents the way we walk, with our heads up high as we enjoy meaningful, competitive, and integrated employment. It also represents the important contribution Hollywood movies make through creating jobs and supporting the American economy.

The Prospects' “Mission Bling” pins represent our determination to make more meaningful employment opportunities for people with disabilities, as well as our commitment to keeping magic of moviegoing alive.

Thank you Prospects who helped design and make these "Mission Bling" pins. These pins are our own personal, sparkly beacons of hope that moviegoing will return strong, and Prospects can do the jobs we love at the Prospector Theater! We will continue to light the way with pink sparkly lights.

We hope that Prospects will be able to dress in our best, and have our Sparkle Awards party next year for the 2022 Academy Awards night, as we have every year since we opened our doors in 2014.

Sparkle on, movie industry!
