With the lifting and modification of indoor/outdoor restrictions by the State of Connecticut and the CDC, First Selectman Rudy Marconi is happy to announce that the Town’s Annual Fireworks will take place on Monday, July 5 with a rain date of July 6 at the Tiger Hollow Field at Ridgefield High School.
“This is great news and a well-deserved reward for all the hard work our community has done in getting vaccinated and contributing to the lifting of COVID restrictions,” said Marconi. “We will still keeping our vigilance, make sure we comply with all state mandates and recommendations and we continue to encourage those who have not yet been vaccinated to do so.”
Marconi said that while excited for the return of the fireworks, he was disappointed that some of our traditions could not yet be restored due to the restrictions that were still in place during the planning periods. “Our Memorial Day Parade takes several months of planning and unfortunately back in March there was no way to anticipate that our State would allow us to move forward,” he said.
The town of Ridgefield Mass Vaccination Clinic held in partnership with RVNAhealth officially shut its doors on Thursday, May 27 after administering over 12,000 vaccinations at the Yanity Gym location. Ridgefield is grateful to the over 100 CERT and community volunteers who logged in approximately 15,000 hours in a massive town effort to fight the pandemic.
