Calling All Ridgefield Dog Owners, June is Dog Licensing Month!

June is dog licensing month!

All dogs over the age of six months and living in Ridgefield must be vaccinated for rabies and licensed by the town clerk. This is a safety measure that enables lost dogs to be traced back to the owner and vaccination to be verified in case of bites.

Please note: this is a Connecticut state law!

Dog licenses may be renewed online beginning tomorrow, June 1st by clicking this link, (a convenience fee will apply).

A $1/month late fee will be incurred for any renewals completed after June 30.  Fees are also accepted by mail, by using the Town Hall drop box located in the vestibule, or by coming into the office in person--cash or check only)

The license is good from July 1 through June 30 and must be renewed during the month of June.

No human contact! Please mail a copy of the following with this Dog License Application: Rabies Vaccination Certificate Spay/Neuter certificate (if applicable) to Town Hall, 400 Main Street, Ridgefield (attention Town Clerk).

Note: Applicants must include a self-addressed stamped envelope. Please mail this application to your local Town Clerk.
