A Work of Heart: Tara-Marie Lynch and Ryan Bares Get Married at Keeler Tavern Museum & History Center

On June 25, 2021, Ridgefield's own Keeler Tavern Museum & History Center hosted a wedding to remember. All weddings are special, but for Tara-Marie Lynch and Ryan Bares, there was an extra "work of heart" on display.

The mother-of-the-bride, Judi Lynch, assembled a gallery of original artwork for guests to enjoy. Judi, member of the Ridgefield Arts Council and Founders Hall, spent countless hours capturing Keeler's beautiful gardens with her paintbrush throughout the pandemic. She routinely set up her easel outside to paint, together with fellow community artists—an activity that kept spirits high for many Founders Hall artists who took joy in being able to safely gather outdoors to "Plein-air paint" during the Covid-19 pandemic. As not only an artist but also a master gardener and designer, Judi, too, had volunteered to help maintain the gardens.

This story is a great illustration—no pun intended—of community and everything Ridgefield has to offer. Congratulations to all!
