NOAA has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for the entire local Tri-State including adjacent waters until 11 pm this evening.
Clusters of thunderstorms are expected to develop along a front across southern New York into southern New England and sink south into the area, as well as clusters of storms to develop across Eastern Pa and move east into the area, late this afternoon through this evening.
- Time period of concern - 5pm to 11pm.
- Primary Threat - Damaging wind gusts up to 70 mph.
- Marginally severe hail and localized flash flooding will also be possible.
