Ridgefield's Bow-WOW Art Dogs Public Art Event Benefits ROAR, The Guild, and The Aldrich

Back in June, the Bow-WOW Art Dogs were set free and continue to enjoy life (and their many fans) in beautiful Ridgefield! Do you have a favorite?

The dog you see here (image courtesy Ridgefield Library) is ROAR’s beautiful dog, by artist Dawn Hettrich and located in front of the Ridgefield Library!

Visit the Silent Auction Site to bid on the WOOF that has won your heart and support Bow-WOW Art Dogs community-wide event benefiting ROAR (Ridgefield Operation Animal Rescue), The Ridgefield Guild of Artists, and The Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum.

The Bow-WOW Art Dogs event is presented by ArtFul Visual Arts Initiative (ArtFul). This is ArtFul’s inaugural public art event to celebrate the power of visual arts in our community.

NOW through August, you will notice these lovable pooches “beggin’” for your attention around town. As you stroll through the Town of Ridgefield, get to know the Bow WOW Art Dogs.  The “bowutiful” art dogs are sponsored by area businesses and paired with local artists to add a one-of-a-kind themed dog to our dog pack for your enjoyment! Want to adopt one of these dog statues yourself? It’s easy! Simply look for the QR Code on the sponsor plaques and you will be led to the auction site. Having trouble? Stop by RPAC Gallery at 410 Main St. and they will assist you.

Thanks to our generous sponsors and amazingly talented artists, we can lead all of Ridgefield and its visitors on a walking tour to find their favorite art dog. We wonder, who is your favorite dog? Take a picture with your phone and tag @ArtFulgives on Facebook or Instagram for your chance to win a painted pooch of your very own!

Grand Auction Event

On September 25th, the excitement continues as we auction these fine pooches at the Leader of the Pack auction event.
