Fairfield County Bank Sponsors Two Bow Wow Art Dogs

Fairfield County Bank has sponsored two Bow-WOW Art Dogs, as part of the ArtFul Visual Arts Initiative.

One of these pups, Jackpot, can be found outside of the 150 Danbury Road Branch of Fairfield County Bank, and the other can be seen in the RPAC Gallery Window as the “Neon Dog”. Jackpot’s theme invokes the core values that Fairfield County Bank upholds, with “Community” and “Compassion” emblazoned on either side.

Bow-WOW Art Dogs is a community-wide event, benefiting ROAR (Ridgefield Operation Animal Rescue), The Ridgefield Guild of Artists, and The Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum. The Bow-WOW Art Dogs event is presented by ArtFul Visual Arts Initiative (ArtFul). This is ArtFul’s inaugural public art event to celebrate the power of visual arts in the community, and Fairfield County Bank is proud to assist. ArtFul is a non-profit, community-based initiative that gives back to working and aspiring artists, which envisions a community that will support opportunities for artists who may not otherwise be able to participate in art programs.

The Art Dogs are sponsored by area businesses and paired with local artists to add a one-of-a-kind themed dog to ArtFul’s dog pack. Each Art Dog has a QR Code on its sponsor plaque that leads to an auction site, where bids can be placed on all of the dogs. ArtFul will be leading Ridgefield and its visitors on a walking tour to find their favorite Art Dog, until the end of summer. If you snap a picture with a pup and post it, you will be entered to win one of the sitting Art Dogs!
