St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church will present a special concert honoring Black History Month and featuring the vocal group Elégieon Sunday, February 6, at 6:30 p.m. Also featured will be a seven-piece professional jazz band of highly acclaimed New York-based musicians. The concert will be both in person and live streamed. The church is located at 353 Main St. in Ridgefield.
Elégie is a male ensemble formed by four classically trained singers. The group performs music from Bach to Boyz II Men. With dynamic stylings and wide vocal ranges, Elégie is known for a distinct style that spans multiple genres. Among the members is Caleb Wright, a gifted bass-baritone who has performed several times at St. Stephen’s. The concert will feature a variety of musical styles that are reflected in the African American heritage. Traditional gospel works will be interspersed with jazz and RnB selections.

Those attending in person must show proof of vaccination for entry. A $20 donation is suggested, and more generous sponsorships are also welcome.
