Ridgefield Main Street Project Update Work Begins at CVS Parking Lot

Ridgefield's Main Street Project is designed to improve the flow of traffic. Work has recently begun to revamp the entrance to the CVS parking lot. This is part of the overall reconstruction at Prospect and Main Streets.

To ensure the safety of pedestrians walking near the ongoing work, sidewalk closures will begin shortly. Appropriate signage will guide pedestrians along the proposed detour. Additional signage will also indicate any other detours that might affect drivers entering and exiting the CVS parking lot.

In addition, work currently underway by Frontier Communications near Governor Street is now scheduled to be completed before the Memorial Day weekend.

The Town of Ridgefield is collaborating closely with the State Department of Transportation and the construction company to ensure that project timelines meet the needs of downtown merchants and residents. In addition, bi-weekly progress meetings are held to review the project status and upcoming construction phases. Regular updates will be communicated to the public throughout the duration of the project.
