Main Street Project - Working Towards the Finish Line - Project to be Completed During the Next Several Weeks
The Main Street Project continues to move forward with an anticipated completion date of November 21. Construction crews will be working day and night, as necessary, to ensure that the project is completed on time.
Milling and paving of Main Street will commence on Sunday evening, October 23, and is expected to be completed by early morning Wednesday, October 26.
New concrete sidewalks will be poured and in place by October 29.
After many months of work reconstructing the entrance and exit at the CVS parking lot, the new configuration will open during the week of October 24.
Finally, new poles to hang the new traffic lights will be installed within the next two weeks, followed by the planting of trees and bushes.
“I would like to thank the people of Ridgefield and the downtown merchants for their patience during the period that this project has been underway. The end is in sight, and we will all benefit from the positive changes to the downtown corridor,” states First Selectman Rudy Marconi.
