Now IT Works awards 1st Community Impact IT Partner Grant to ACT of CT

ACT (A Contemporary Theatre) of Connecticut receives technology grant

Now IT Works has named ACT (A Contemporary Theatre) of Connecticut the first recipient of its Community Impact IT Partner Grant.

Located in Ridgefield, CT, ACT of CT is a growing, non-profit theater organization that brings high-quality arts programming to the community with a focus on diversity and inclusivity. The organization contributes to the local economy and provides employment to actors and crews.

In announcing the recipient, Mr. Chris Meacham, Founder and President of Now IT Works, explains, “The selection committee was especially impressed by the impact that ACT of CT has on its community and the arts. ACT of CT’s New Works program provides creative opportunities for promising actors and writers. In addition, their educational programs—including school workshops, master classes, and private lessons—trains the next generation of performers and artists. We’re happy that we can help ACT of CT revamp their technology to better serve their community.”

Upon receiving the news of their award, Daniel C. Levine, Artistic Director of ACT of CT, responded, “This could not have come at a better time for our theater. As we continue to rapidly grow, we need improved technology to help us communicate with and serve our many constituents. We’re looking forward to partnering with Chris and his team to get us on track with all things IT.”

Over a period of 15 months, the grant will assist ACT of CT in undertaking an Information technology update. As a managed service provider, Now IT Works will provide, free of charge, strategic assistance and support. NIW estimates the monetary value of the award to be $30,000.
