Ridgefield Main Street Project Moves Towards Early Spring Completion

Many have asked, “When will the Main Street Project conclude?”  The most recent information obtained from the CT DOT and the electrical contractor indicates that all work will be done by mid-April.

The delays are a result of supply chain issues for the new signal lights, crosswalk flashing indicators, and flashing beacons at the mid-block crosswalk. All components must be on site to ensure an efficient work schedule and use of resources. Additionally, any new landscaping that is required will also be completed by mid-April, as well as the concrete work required at each corner. Finally, all remaining street and crosswalk lines will be applied during April as the weather becomes warmer.

“I would like to thank the merchants and residents of Ridgefield for your understanding and patience as we look to complete the final pieces of the Project,” stated First Selectman Rudy Marconi.
