
St. Stephen’s Nutmeg & Neighbors gets under way this Saturday, September 16, at 5 p.m. Open to the public, it features food from Parma Market, live DJ and music for dancing, children’s activities and a raffle. Its goal is to have fun while raising funds to support the church’s ministries, including outreach, music, and children and youth.
Nutmeg & Neighbors’ cash bar (serving alcohol and non-alcoholic drinks) will feature wines from Milligan Selections, a family-owned French wine import company of 30 years run by Alex and Julie Milligan of Ridgefield. Milligan has also donated a case of French wines as a raffle prize.
In addition to the case of French wine, the list of raffle prizes, all made possible by the generosity of local businesses and entrepreneurs, includes: gift certificates from Ridgefield Nail Bar, Miss Confident Boutique, Books on the Common, Ross Bread, Wooster Hollow, The Cake Box, CY Collective; also, gift baskets from Pelo by Edgardo Salon, Ridgefield Nail Bar, a “Night In” basket donated by Meta Ela, and “Cozy Basket” donated by Lauren Tarantino.
Some prizes are services: free yoga class at O2 Living Sanctuary, running assessment by Dr. Kate Campbell of RVNAhealth, nutrition consult with Monica Marcello of RVNAhealth, oracle deck and Reiki session with JoAnn Duncan at Turning Point Reiki, massage at Nurturing Nature Massage Therapy, and two private in-home yoga sessions with Jessica Outlaw. Contributions also include signed copies of American Childhood: A Photographic History, a newly published book by New York Times best-selling author and Ridgefielder Todd Brewster; Ridgefield Coasters from The Rooted Plow; a hand-knit sweater or scarf, created by the Rev. Whitney Altopp, rector of St. Stephen’s; Off the Wall Pottery donated by Cynthia Bachman, and an original painting donated by Katy Ferrarone.
Admission to Nutmeg & Neighbors is $50 ($10 for children under 12 and family maximum of $100). Tickets can be purchased in advance at Eventbrite here or at the door the day of the event.
