Let's Talk About Brunch: bringing women in the greater Danbury area together for inspiration and empowerment

Danbury residents Leila Roxo and Bianca Leite wanted to create a supportive, inclusive space where women in the greater Danbury area could thrive personally and professionally. They also wanted to give back to the community.

Enter: Let's Talk About Brunch

“We aim to empower you to reach your fullest potential and inspire you by the stories and experiences of remarkable women who have broken barriers, shattered stereotypes, and made a difference in their communities and beyond,” Roxo explains,

Let’s Talk About Brunch will hold its inaugural event on Sunday, November 5 from 11 am to 3 pm at the Portugese Cultural Center, 65 Sand Pit Road in Danbury. Ten percent of the ticket sales will be donated to The Center for Empowerment and Education in Danbury.

The event will feature local women-owned small business vendors and inspirational speakers. The lineup for November 5 includes Emily Rogers, Prevention Educator for the Center for Empowerment and Education and Certified Professional Coach Kate Glendon.

“We believe that when women come together, incredible things happen,” says Roxo. In addition to co-founding this new community initiative, Roxo is the founder of local business, Pink Lemon, a gift shop and boutique located at 3 West Street in Danbury.
