Ridgefield Mail Carriers will be in the Dog House if they hand out a biscuit

What? No more dog biscuits from my favorite Ridgefield mail carrier?

Ridgefield Post Office has a new, strict NO DOG BISCUIT policy. We spoke with a Ridgefield Post Office employee who said that the policy took effect after one of their carriers was bitten by a dog. The Post Office doesn't want to encourage interaction between the dogs and the mail carriers. "We can't take any chances, we need to be safe," she said. Thankfully, the mail carrier who sustained the injury is fine.

The photo you see here shows Candy Daniels (owner is Michelle Daniels) next to her favorite postal carrier. "After 6 years of a daily dose of love by our awesome mailman, we were told today that the Ridgefield Post Office has a new policy," said Daniels.

Stock up on your favorite dog treats because they will no longer be gleefully thrown from local mail trucks.
