Eighth grade student Hannah Boylan, age 14, is running a Halloween Hand-Me-Down Costume Drive at Scotts Ridge Middle School, Scotland Elementary School and the Rec Center until Friday, October 23.
Hannah has brought her ingenious idea to life, with support from mentor Kate Lindenburg, a senior at Ridgefield High School. All costumes collected at the two schools will be donated to The Women’s Center of Danbury and distributed to families before Halloween.
“We have one more week to reach our goal of fifty costumes,” says Hannah, who is working toward her Girl Scout Silver Award. “It makes me happy that other children will be able to feel special this Halloween because of these donations.
