Ridgefield League of Women Votes celebrate Alice Paul Day on January 19

Suffragist Alice Paul was one of the most influential women in America, leading the successful fight for women's right to vote, and championing equal rights for women through most of the 20th century.

In 2011, First Selectman Rudy Marconi declared January 19th, Alice Paul Day in honor of her 30 years of residence in Ridgefield.  We are delighted that Mr. Marconi will be able to join us on January 19th to celebrate this extraordinary woman and talk to us about the Town that was so important to her and is to all of us today.

This event is free and open to the public.
