Kindness Over Muscular Dystrophy Lax Shootout on Sunday Supports Ridgefielder Conner Curran

1st Annual Kindness Over Muscular Dystrophy Shootout for Conner Curran will take place on Sunday, July 30 from noon to 5:00 pm at John F. Kennedy Catholic High School in Somers, NY (54 New York 138).

First and second graders will participate in a lacrosse tournament to support KOMD. There will be a DJ, Food Trucks, Professional Lacrosse players, and an amazing Raffle with some unbelievable prizes.

A student at Barlow Mountain Elemenatary School, 7 year old Conner Curran has been diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, a fatal genetic disorder affecting muscles of the limbs, trunk, lungs and heart. Most Duchenne patients are confined to a wheelchair in their early teens and do not live past their late twenties.

The Curran family is desperate for a cure for Conner and the thousands of other boys with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. To that end, they founded Kindness Over Muscular Dystrophy (#KOMD) which operates under the parent nonprofit Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy.

The Curran's explain, "Kindness Over Muscular Dystrophy – our name says it all - because without your kindness, support and love we just can’t accomplish our precious mission to save our son’s life in time."
