St. Mary School celebrates the season with a Christmas Pageant and Concert on Decmeber 14

Each December, the Saint Mary School community gathers to celebrate the season by participating in a Christmas Pageant and Concert. Students from Preschool 4's - grade 8 participate in this annual school-wide event.

“We invite our community to take a few moments out from the frenzy of the season and remember what Christmas is all about,” explains Amy Dowding, St. Mary School Director of Advancement.

Dowding explains, “Each year, students in grade 2 act out the Nativity Story and the younger grades supplement the story with songs such as O Little Town of Bethlehem, Away in a Manger, The Little Drummer Boy, and Joy to the World.”

St. Mary School String and Band members, as well as chorus participants also are also part of the festive event. “Some of the older students sing a selection of songs as well,” says Dowding, who adds, “A favorite tradition is the grade 8 performance of the Twelve Days of Christmas.”

The Pageant commences with the audience participating in a medley of classic Christmas Carols.

This year's Christmas Pageant and Concert is Thursday, December 14 at 7pm in the Nancy Bossidy Recreation Center.
