Janet F. Vitti, 79, of Ridgefield, passed away on February 13, 2018 surrounded by her family. Born in Dundee, Scotland, Janet came to the United States in 1959. She was the daughter of the late Jane (Poustie) and Alexander Fleming.

Janet called Ridgefield home for the past 48 years. She worked at Country Corners Deli for many years. She loved all the people she encountered daily there. It is there where she met her partner, Steve. She went on to work for Steve at Country Disposal Company as the office manager.

Janet and her late former husband, Michael Vitti were members of the Jaycees. She loved traveling with the group and met people from all over the country. What Jan loved most was talking to her best friend, Shirley. She also enjoyed being around family and her extended family in North Salem, NY.

Janet was predeceased by her mother, Jane Fleming, her brother, Jim Fleming, her former husband Michael Vitti and her stepdaughter, Kristina Kuehn.

She is survived by her daughter Melissa Grandinetti, her partner of 37 years Stephen Kuehn, her grandchildren Jordan and Jalena Grandinetti, stepdaughter Sarah Kuehn and her step-grandchildren, Brandon Shafer and Will Rafter.

The family would like to thank Janet's caregiver and friend, Dora Vasquez for taking such great care of her. To her many doctors and nurses over the years and to all of the wonderful people at Davita Dialysis; you all had a special place in her heart.
