Sabrina and Brian Hebert are on a mission to help babies in need, come to Gallo on April 5 to support Therapy Kinection

Ridgefield resident Sabrina Hebert and her husband Brian are thankful for the health of their baby. They are on a mission to help families who have babies in need of a variety of therapeutic services - services that will help them live a full, productive, and happy life.

"I am both humbled and honored to announce that on April 5th we will be hosting a fundraising event at Gallo Restaurant in Ridgefield in order to raise funds to help parents finance early intervention therapy for their babies & young children," says Sabrina. From 6-9 pm, Sabrina and Brian, together with guest bartender Amy Mosely, are raising funds for Southbury-based Therapy Kinections, an organization that offers Innovative child-based therapeutic services to children from birth to young adults who have difficulty with daily activities such as self-care, academics, play, social skills, organization, and coordination.

Concerned about the development of their baby Cayden, six months ago, Sabrina and Brian took their boy to a host of specialists.  "No one could guarantee or promise us that our son would ever walk. He was diagnosed with high muscle tone and had to receive 3 to 4 days of therapy to basically retrain his brain to teach his muscles to relax. Our little guy was so stiff and therefore his mobility was impaired and no one knew the outcome."

Life changed dramatically after Sabrina and Brian discovered Therapy Kinections in Southbury. "I walked into Therapy Kinections in Southbury crying, more like wailing, and said, 'Please help our son walk'. Just six months into the therapy, Sabrina reports that Cayden is running, smiling, clapping & pointing. "All things that, at one point, I didn't think I'd see my son do," she says.

While Sabrina and Brian were fortunate to be in a position to afford the extra therapy that changed Cayden's life, they know that this is not the case for many families. "Some parents are not that fortunate. So now I ask you to come to Gallo April 5th, relax, enjoy a cocktail and/or dinner/mention the event and 10% of the proceeds will go to help the financial burden some parents are facing when it comes to early intervention therapy," says Sabrina.

Gallo will donate 10% of liquor sales and food from reservations made by those mentioning the event. In addition, all cash and credit card tips will be donated to Therapy Kinections.

During the event, attendees can bid on a thirty-minute flight with Brian in the Hebert's private plane.

Sabrina offers thanks to Amy Mosely. "She is the whole reason we are able to put together this event."

Gallo is located at 5 Grove Street. Call for reservations: 203-431-7724
