Children’s Learning Centers of Fairfield County to Honor Margaret Keane at Benefit Concert

Children’s Learning Centers of Fairfield County (CLC) will honor Synchrony Financial CEO and Ridgefield resident Margaret Keane with its inaugural “CLC Knobby Award,” named for long-standing CLC supporters William and Audrey Knobloch, at its April 28 benefit concert.

Valerie Simpson, Paul Shaffer and Darlene Love are set to take the stage to benefit the Stamford nonprofit preschool provider at Stamford’s Palace Theatre on Saturday, April 28.

Keane is President and Chief Executive Officer of Synchrony Financial, one of the nation’s premier consumer financial services companies. Keane is a CLC supporter who has helped establish strong connections between CLC and Synchrony.

Under Keane's leadership, Synchrony has become an instrumental partner to CLC. Along with critical financial support of CLC’s mission, Synchrony has provided skilled volunteers through its Business Leadership Program to support critical agency projects.

“The evening’s proceeds will help us serve children with our unique, holistic approach to early learning. This concert is a critical part of our fundraising efforts,” said Marc E. Jaffe, CLC’s Chief Executive Officer.

CLC is distinctive among nonprofits because it addresses a wide range of social issues: in addition to education and child development, it plays a pivotal role for the immigrant community, combats food insecurity, fights homelessness and develops crucial social and emotional skills, added Jaffe.

For premier seating and sponsorship opportunities, call CLC at 203-653-1337. General admission tickets are available through the Palace Theatre, 203-325-4466 or palacestamford.org.
