Edwin Carl Pearson

Edwin Carl Pearson died unexpectedly on Thursday, March 29, 2018, at the age of 82 years. Born on March 23, 1936, in the Village of Valley Stream, NY, Ed was the son of Carl and Ebba Pearson. Ed was the youngest of three children.

Ed graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1958 with a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering, from Georgetown University Law Center in 1962 with a Juris Doctor degree, and from Harvard University in 1972 with a Master of Laws. His law career spanned from 1962 until his retirement in 2011 and culminated in his position as an Administrative Law Judge for the State of New York Office of Temporary Disability Assistance.

Ed was survived only a few short days by his wife of thirty-three years, Cloris Pearson (nee Clifford), who died on April 3. Ed is survived by his daughter Katy Aylward and her husband Drew of Oakton, VA; step-son Chad Williams and his wife Katie-Ann of Fort Collins, CO; step-daughter Melissa Williams of Hartford, CT; grandsons Hayes, Grayson, and Conley Aylward of Oakton, VA; and step-granddaughters Hazel and Olive Williams of Fort Collins, CO. Ed is also survived by his sister Martha Pearson of Malverne, NY; niece Charlotte Pearson and nephews Ernest Pearson Jr. and Andrus Pearson of Las Vegas, NV; and nephew David Pearson of Glendora, CA. He was predeceased by his parents and his brother Ernest Pearson of Woodland Hills, CA.

Immediate relatives gathered on April 5 at Mapleshade Cemetery in Ridgefield, CT for a funeral service.
