Celebration of Life for George G. Siburn, 75, at First Congregational Church in Ridgefield on June 16

George G. Siburn, 75, loving husband, father and grandfather entered into the presence of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on April 4, 2018.  A celebration of his life will be held at 11 am on Saturday, June 16th at First Congregational Church, 103 Main Street, Ridgefield, CT.
 
George grew up in New York City and Bedford, New York, graduating from Fordham University in 1963 and received a commission as 2nd Lieutenant in the United States Air Force.  Following his marriage to Linda Becker from Katonah, New York, George attended pilot training in Selma. Alabama.  He was later stationed at McChord Air Force Base in Tacoma, Washington where he flew for the Military Airlift Command moving troops and supplies into Southeast Asia until 1968.  George continued his flying career with Pan American World Airways and then joined management in sales promotion and product development posts in New York.  In 1974 George received an MBA from Adelphi University in New York and joined American Airlines as director of sales promotion and then director of tour marketing.  In 1977 George continued his career in travel with Thompson Travel Marketing as its Vice President for Operations and was a member of the board of directors of the Marketing Executives Club of New York.  In 1980 he joined the MKB Group, a Point of Sale/Merchandising Group and then in 1983 George and Linda started Siburnetics Marketing Systems here in Ridgefield, CT.
 
George enjoyed spending time with friends and family windsurfing, bicycling and sailing.  In 1980 George was Scoutmaster for Troop 26 sponsored by St. Stephen’s Church.  He shared his love of Jesus Christ by teaching Sunday School, facilitating Bible Studies and being a part of the team presenting the Ridgefield Alpha Course in Ridgefield.
 
George is survived by his wife of 55 years, Linda, his two sons, Christian and Adam, their wives Susan of Redding and Meredith of Ridgefield and six grandchildren, Anna, Theresa, James, Lillie, Addison and Avery.
