RSO Welcomes Music Director Yuga Cohler!

Yuga Cohler will make his debut as Music Director when the Ridgefield Symphony Orchestra performs on May 5, 2018 at 8:00 PM at Richardson Auditorium at Ridgefield High School. The concert will feature three marvelous pieces: Ravel’s Le Tombeau de Couperin, Prokofiev’s Violin Concerto No. 1 and Franck’s Symphony in D Minor. RSO concertmaster, Jorge Avila, will be the soloist for the violin concerto and the concert will mark the RSO’s first time performing Frank’s symphony - the composer’s most famous orchestral work.

“We are excited for the community to welcome Maestro Cohler to the RSO at the May 5th concert,” says Executive Director Laurie Kenagy. “The evening will truly be a celebration of a new era for the orchestra. This is a concert not to be missed! Yuga will also be announcing the 2018-19 season during the concert week, and we are already looking forward to a fantastic upcoming year.”

Immediately following the May 5th performance, audience members are invited to a fun, informal post-concert gathering. Greet Yuga Cohler and socialize with friends and fellow concertgoers at Luna Rossa Restaurant in Ridgefield - cash bar and food will be available.
