Connecticut Boat Club Athletes from Ridgefield Win Big at USRowing Northeast Junior Championships

Connecticut Boat Club (CBC), Connecticut’s leading all-girls rowing team, had tremendous success at the USRowing Northeast Junior District Championships May 19-20th which featured over ­­­420 entries from 46 rowing clubs. As a team, Connecticut Boat Club earned 3 Gold Medals, 4 Silver Medals, and 1 Bronze Medal, medaling in eight out of twelve events with four boats continuing on to Nationals in June.

Below are the boats and athletes that medaled where ** means the boat has qualified to compete in the upcoming National Championships in Lake Natoma, CA.:

**GOLD: V4+ Julia Abbruzzese of Darien and Ridgefield, Catherine Garrett of Darien, Olivia Luther of Fairfield, Kat Kern of Greenwich and Vivi Van Ingen of Darien (coxswain).

GOLD: 2V4+ Kiki Stoker of Pound Ridge, Lucy Collins of Ridgefield, Eleanor Imrie of Wilton, Clara Geffs of Greenwich and Vivi Van Ingen of Darien (coxswain).

GOLD: 2V4X Olivia Moor of New Canaan, Gigi Skolds or Darien, Flynn Woodring of Darien, and Tess Nobles of Wilton.

**SILVER: V2- Casey Batson of Darien and Heidi Jacobson of Greenwich.

**SILVER V4X: Ella Petreski of Pound Ridge, NY, Jenna Macrae of New Canaan, Ellie Urdang of Greenwich, and Bridget Galloway of Ridgefield.

SILVER Novice 4+: Eleanor Greene of Wilton, Georgia Lambrakis of Pound Ridge, Phoebe Inall of Ridgefield, Whitney Short of Fairfield, and Ally Triano (coxswain)

SILVER U17 8+: Macy Lebeau of Wilton, Tess Nobles of Wilton, Lia Schlegal of Norwalk, Josie Constantine of Stamford, Flynn Woodring of Darien, , Jaia Wingard of New York City, Kiki Stoker of Pound Ridge, Bridget Galloway of Ridgefield, and Maeve Sexton of Wilton (coxswain).

About CBC (Connecticut Boat Club)

Connecticut Boat Club is a high performance girl’s youth (middle school and high school) rowing club and Women’s Masters program based on the Norwalk River in Norwalk, Connecticut. Founded in the spring of 2010 by U.S. National Team Junior/CBC head coach Liz Trond, the team includes girls from throughout southwestern Connecticut and Westchester County New York. CBC has proven to be a dominant force in scholastic rowing, most notably bringing home medals at Junior Worlds from 2010-2017.
