Saint Mary School Ridgefield Announces Cara Capilli as Second Grade Teacher

Saint Mary School in Ridgefield has just announced that they have hired their very first Saint Mary School alumni, Cara Capilli! Ms. Capilli will teach second grade at Saint Mary School in Ridgefield this fall.

Cara is a recent graduate from Catholic University where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education.

She was a proud Saint Mary School student from pre-school through grade 8. For the past several years, Cara has devoted much of her free time as a volunteer at Saint Mary School, even spending college breaks at Saint Mary's. Cara is a graduate of Immaculate High School in Danbury.

"After years of playing 'classroom' in my basement, pretending to be a second-grade teacher at Saint Mary School, I'm thrilled to finally have my dream become a reality!" says Cara.

Saint Mary School has named a scholarship in the name of Cara's mom, Patti Capilli, a longtime parishioner and Saint Mary parent who passed away last year after a courageous battle with cancer. Learn more about the Patricia A. Capilli Scholarship here.

Congratulations to Cara Capilli!

*Disclaimer: I was Cara's preschool teacher at Saint Mary School in 1999!
