This fall’s election of a new governor in Connecticut brings with it hope and opportunity. Over the next several months, the candidates will openly discuss the strengths and challenges of the state and debate their priorities and vision for the next decade and beyond.

The Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum is a co-sponsor for Create the Vote from CT Arts Alliance and the CT Alliance for Arts Education to ensure that a thriving arts, culture, and creative sector is part of that discussion and one of the priorities for our next governor. One of the highlights of the Create the Vote campaign is the upcoming forum on Arts, Culture, and the Future of CT’s Economy, where the candidates for governor will discuss the issues of the creative community. Please RSVP to attend.

As the gubernatorial campaign heads into the fall, the arts, culture, and creative community has a rare opportunity to ensure that the issues of our sector and their fundamental importance in our overall quality of life are prominent in the minds of the candidates and voters. The Forum will be an opportunity for The Aldrich and the creative community to show the candidates that their commitment to the arts, culture, and creativity matters.
