The Ridgefield Playhouse Fall Gala with Blondie on September 28 Is Made Possible By Generous Gala Sponsors

As a non-profit performing arts center, The Ridgefield Playhouse, like any other non-profit organization, relies heavily on its annual fundraising events. And, thanks to generous Gala sponsors, you’re in for a treat!  The Ridgefield Playhouse Fall Gala will not only feature an open bar, dinner, and one-of-a-kind auction items, the highlight of the evening will be a performance by the legendary New Wave band Blondie with the Rock Academy Band opening the show!

Beginning at 5:30pm, Gala ticket holders will be treated to gourmet foods from caterers and restaurants such as Bareburger, Bernard’s/Sarah’s Wine Bar, Eddie’s Pizza & Pasta, Gallo Ristorante, Le Chateau, Little Pub, Luna Rossa, Some Things Fishy Catering, Southwest Café, The Cake Box, Deborah Ann’s Sweet Shoppe and Whistle Stop Bakery. The beverage sponsors are Captain Lawrence Brewing Company, Nod Hill Brewing Company, Samuel Adams, Two Roads Brewing Company and Wild Turkey Longbranch.

The live auction and performance is slated for 8pm in the theater. Best known for hits “Call Me,” “The Tide is High,” “Rapture” “Heart of Glass” and many more, Blondie’s chart-topping success, fearless spirit and rare longevity led to an induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2006, an NME Godlike Genius Award in 2014, a Q Award for Outstanding Contribution to Music in 2016, the 2017 Silver Clef Outstanding Achievement Award and more than 45 million albums sold worldwide! Kicking off the night is The Rock Academy Band, an advanced touring ensemble of young musicians between the ages of 12 and 18 who have been selected for their musical prowess, showmanship, love of performing, and ability to share the stage with professional musicians as they tour the world.
