Enter a Scarecrow in Keeler Tavern Museum & History Center’s Annual Contest!

Keeler Tavern Museum & History Center (KTM&HC) is hosting its 6th Annual Scarecrow Contest. Individuals, families, groups, and businesses are invited to create a scarecrow to be displayed on Main Street during Fall in Love with Ridgefield (October 19-21).

Participants can pick up a wooden scarecrow frame ($25/frame) at KTM&HC, Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Decorated scarecrows must be returned to the Museum by Wednesday, October 17.

There will be two rounds of voting for the contest. Ballot voting will be on Main Street during Fall in Love with Ridgefield, October 19-21 with the winner announced October 23. A second round of voting will be on the KTM&HC Facebook page, October 19 – 31, winner announced November 1.

Keeler Tavern Museum & History Center, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, presents three centuries of the town’s—and nation’s—history through the lives of the families that occupied the site starting in 1713. It offers docent-led tours of its period-furnished building February through December (Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday, 1:00–4:00 p.m.; adults, $8; children and seniors, $5).
