Services planned for former Ridgefield resident Stephen D. (T-bone) Carboni , 70

Stephen D. Carboni

Stephen D. “T-bone” Carboni, 70, of Danbury, formerly of Ridgefield, husband of Alice (McAleer) Carboni, died on Sunday, December 16, 2018 with his wife who was his best friend and family by his side.

Mr. Carboni was born in Danbury, November 26, 1948, a son of the late Octavius “Tabby” and Katherine (Creagh) Carboni.

He attended Ridgefield schools, was a graduate of Ridgefield High School and attended Western CT State University.

A retired warranty administrator with Pamby Motors of Ridgefield, he was a member of St. Elizabeth Seton Church of Ridgefield.

A lifelong area resident, Mr. Carboni was a member of the Ridgefield Golf Club, a member and past president of the Italian American Mutual Aid Society, a past president and coach of the Ridgefield Pop Warner Football League, a Ridgefield Little League coach and basketball coach.

Upon retirement, Steve volunteered for the American Cancer Society and the Food Pantry at the New Hope Baptist Church of Danbury.

He enjoyed golf and was referred to as, “The Best of the Worst”, NASCAR, Motorcycling and most especially his family.

In addition to his wife Alice of forty-four years, Mr. Carboni is survived by a son, Daniel Carboni and his wife CaraMarie of Seymour, CT; a daughter, Jessica Carboni of San Diego, CA; two brothers, Edwin “Ned” Carboni and his wife Jutta of Williamsburg, PA and David Carboni and his wife Peggy of Hamden, CT; two sisters, Carol Harper and her husband Al  of Madison, GA and Mimi Carboni of Norcross; PA;  two grandchildren, Ronan and Arabella and several nieces, nephews  and cousins. In addition to his parents, Mr. Carboni was predeceased by a brother, Robert Carboni and by a sister, Joan Carboni.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday, December 28, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Elizabeth Seton Church, 520 Ridgebury Rd., Ridgefield. Burial to follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Ridgefield, CT.

Friends will be received at St. Elizabeth Seton Church on Friday, December 28, 2018 after 10:30 a.m.

The family would like to extend their sincerest appreciation to the Doctors & Staff at Norwalk Hospital and to Regional Hospice & Palliative Care of Western CT.

At the end of the day, when you have a beverage say, “Steve Carboni, he wasn’t such a bad guy”.
