David W. Ondrick
David W. Ondrick, 52, of Ridgefield, passed away on Wednesday, January 23, 2019. He was the loving son of the late William and Shirley (Nelson) Ondrick.
David was born in New York City on August 12, 1966.
David served in the United States Marine Corps and later retired as a Sergeant from the NYPD after 25 years of service. He was active in the Marine Corps League and the NYPD Police Benevolent Association.
David will be remembered for his humor and wit; his love of history and politics and the joy he had while sailing or cruising. He is survived by his sister, Beth Gattey and her husband Scott, as well as his nephews, Clayton and Shane and his niece, Nevan.
Friends will be received on Saturday, January 26, 2019 from 1:00 to 4:00 PM at Kane Funeral Home; 25 Catoonah Street, Ridgefield. US Marine Corps funeral honors will be observed at the conclusion of calling hours; interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to American Legion Post 78; 71 North Salem Road, Ridgefield.
