Ridgefield Resident Grace Heller Visits NYC for Hamilton College Career Immersion Day

Grace Heller, of Ridgefield, recently traveled to New York City to participate in the Hamilton College Career Center's NYC Immersion Day. The visit allowed students to explore potential career interests through site visits, panel discussions and alumni networking. The program was initiated in January 2017 to help students learn about different industries and jobs to make well-informed career decisions.

The trip featured three different industry tracks for students to choose from: digital media, fashion/business, and urban planning. Students from each track observed different professional environments through site visits with Hamilton alumni at VaynerMedia, Taboola, Tapestry, Tory Burch, New York City Economic Development Corporation, and BJH Advisors.

Heller is a senior majoring in psychology.

Originally founded in 1793 as the Hamilton-Oneida Academy, Hamilton College offers an open curriculum that gives students the freedom to shape their own liberal arts education within a research- and writing-intensive framework.
