Ridgefield High School Seniors Invited To Apply For SPHERE Leadership Award

SPHERE Leadership Award

Are you a Ridgefield High School (RHS) senior who has supported SPHERE or people with disabilities throughout your high school years? Consider applying for the SPHERE Leadership Award.

Newly unveiled, the SPHERE Leadership Award provides a one-time scholarship of $500.00 to an outstanding graduating Ridgefield High School senior who has demonstrated (a) a commitment of support toward people with disabilities and (b) strong leadership skills.

"The leadership award is in support of those who help people with disabilities - from children to adults.  Our hope is that this small amount of money inspires our youth to learn about this wonderful population and to give back," explains Lori Berisford, SPHERE Chairman of the Board.

Last year's award recipient was Nicole Colletto who was instrumental in raising funds for Autism Speaks. She is currently a student at UConn.

The application form is now available through the RHS Counseling Center and the school’s Naviance app.  The application deadline is April 1, 2019. Students can apply via the scholarship process in the RHS Counseling Center or can contact Lori Berisford via email loriberis@aol.com for an application.

SPHERE helps adults with developmental disabilities achieve their dreams by providing them experiences and programs that directly improve their quality of life and connect them to our robust community.
